Yes, you may continue to bleed for another couple weeks. You do need to have your OB/GYN check you after you stop bleeding to make sure you don't need a D & C. If you have any tissue left in your uterus, they have to do this procedure and if you don't, you can get a life threatening infection. As long as your bleeding is becoming lighter and lighter, that is okay. If you start bleeding heavy again, go to the ER.

I was bleeding for a month after a miscarriage and the doctor told me that if it hadn't stopped in a week that something needed to be done. He said that it's normal to bleed for a length of time afterwards just as long as it's not too heavy and don't develop a fever. Sometimes some tissue is left over which will cause bleeding for a long period of time. In that case an ultrasound will need to be done to confirm that. You should see a doctor to get their opinion as everyone's case is different.

yes it is. even though the pregnancy has ended your body has changed and is still adjusting as if you were pregnant. after giving birth a woman normally has abnormal bleeding and then the periods become normal again. i have experienced a miscarriage also and i am sorry for what you are going through. the good news is i had 2 babies at a later time...god bless

As long as its only a little - yes. Chances are you'll have that until you have a first real period (which could be pretty dramatic as well).
