How ever she is register under CKC, Her fathers name is General Lee and her Mothers name is Texas Tornado. Both pure bred. Her name is Princess Chenel Powder and she is a princess. How would you like it if someone called your dog a mutt? I have talked with AKC and they have informed me it was okay to breed her with either a Yorkie or a Schnauzer and still regonize her breed. Powder is one of the smartest and sweeties dog. My Snoodle that I got from the pound could climb trees. I had him for 13 years before I put him down. I'm not some stupid person that doesn't know what she is doing. That is right. Not Scott. This is cindy 48 years old. I asks a question about any one that might know about stud service in the area. The answer my dog is a mutt from every one of you. That wasn't the question. I have one Yorkie three generations that wants to breed with my Powder and two Schnauzers. They are all AKC.

So sorry there are so many guilty AKC people on this site that are so rude and ugly to people .They pretend they are judge and jury over the whole world of Breeding .Most of them if you will notice you can't even e-mail them.It is interfering with their livelihood.Your dog is not a mutt what ever people on here had to say. They are hurting the business of AKC and soon no one will want to be affiliated with such snobby hateful know it alls.If you want a mixed breed dog you can register with CKC.It is only a piece paper. And if you know both parents and they are good sound pups and they are healthy and you love them that's all that matters.Good LUCK!!!!!!!!

"I have talked with AKC and they have informed me it was okay to breed her with either a Yorkie or a Schnauzer and still regonize her breed."

This statement is simply not true and those here familiar with the AKC know this. The AKC will not register a mixed breed, ever. Sorry, but even if the parents are registered dogs, you are looking at producing mixed pups, not a purebred.

One huge problem with all these "designer" mixes are that the parents are not coming from good backgrounds. No reputable purebred breeder would sell a pup with breeding rights to anyone who was going to intentionally mix the dog to create a designer mix. So where do these dogs come from that are being mixed then? They come from back yard breeders and puppy mills who DON'T do genetic and health testing to ensure the litters produced will be healthy. This leads to litters with the potential of an array of medical issues that can show later on in life.

The sham registries are the only thing that will register a mixed breed dog. Snorkies are NOT a purebred and will never be allowed AKC registration.

You are getting your feelings hurt by a bunch of online strangers voicing their opinion/thoughts/feelings about a situation. It's online. People have their opinions and you have yours, which is okay as long as you respect other people's opinions and move on and not take offense to it.

A "Snorkie" is not a breed of a dog. If you look on this Complete breed list provided by the AKC you will NOT see "Snorkie" on the list:
http://www.akc.org/breeds/complete_breed_list.cfm

You have probably misinterpret the AKC stating that they will recognzie "her breed." They are mostly likely trying to say if you breed to make a "Snorkie" they will still recognzie the sire and the dam of the litter not the litter itself.

How can I register my litter with the AKC?

Answer:
You can register your litter online at:

https://www.akc.org/litters/index.cfm

A litter is eligible for registration:

If it is the result of a mating between an AKC registered Sire (male) and an AKC registered Dam (female) of the same breed.
Is whelped (born) in the U.S.A, its possession or territories (Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Marianna Islands).

They even state here in the Q&A section about registeration that the AKC will recognize a litter if they are the "SAME BREED."

If you truely knew how to breed dogs then you would not be posting online in a forum about studding service. Most reputable breeders who breed know where to go for studding service, and who and where to ask.

As for being CKC registered. The CKC is a newer kennel club that allows easy registeration as a purebred. You have someone signed the application stating that the dog looks purebred and they're added on. The AKC does not even recognize the CKC.
" Some examples of other registries that are not accepted by the AKC are:

America’s Pet Registry (APRI)
Continental Kennel Club (CKC)
Canine Kennel Club (CKC)
United All Breed Registry
United Kennel Club (except Coonhounds)
North American Purebred Dog Registry "

As for having my feelings hurt by someone calling my poodle mix a mutt, doesn't hurt my feelings. That's what she is. I had her and loved he greatly and she was a mutt. I also called her "mutt" "mutty mutt mutt" She was mixed with something that I don't know what it was and therefore she was a mutt.

As for my miniature pinscher, no she's not a mutt. She's a miniature pinscher, not mix and her breed is recognzied by most kennel clubs.

A mutt is a mutt is a mutt is a snorkie. I'm sorry, but it's just how it is. Doesn't matter how much you paid or how much she is worth to you, she is still a mixed breed which is, by deffinition, a mutt. I have a tendancy of using the term "mutt" affectionately, so right there is proof that not everyone uses the word in a derogatory way.

You love your dog and feel validated by her pricetag, we get it, but either way that does not make her parents of the same breed. From what I understand, CKC is a sham, actually.

I wouldn't mind if someone called my dog a mutt. One of them is, and one of them is questionable but looks PB. Even the one that is s'posedly a papillon I don't get mad when she gets called a mutt. She's a puppy and don't look so grand yet, but one day she'll be beatiful. Either way, the most attractive dog I've ever seen was a mutt born of mutts. My god is she gorgeous, long legged, plush coat, frilled tail. But she's still a mutt.

No offense, but you shouldn't breed what you can't show, or at least that's the motto here. If you're doing it for yourself, for the satisfaction of brining up the pups, you wouldn't be charging $600. I don't care what you paid for the mother and the sire, any dog is really only worth the shots and dewormings. So you blew $700 on a dog and then another $300 on a sire? That was something you did, don't pass the costs onto people that don't quite know what they're getting.

I don't mean to sound rude, i just want to be a bit of a reality check.

Again, I'm going to tell you to spend an afternoon at an animal shelter or animal control facility while they are putting animals to sleep. I'm sure you'll see some Cockapoos and Labradoodles and Snoodles (and every other MADE UP breed) and even some purebreds being put to sleep. You'll see puppies and adult dogs alike. You should only decide to breed you dog AFTER doing this.

Again, I'll also have you take a look at www.justonelitter.com. I think you need to do some serious reaseach before you choose to breed. Lots of people here have been giving you advice (and most of it is the same) yet you just don't seem to want to hear what people are saying or actually look into the facts about pet overpopulation and BAD BREEDING.

And for the record, I don't really care if people call my dogs a mutt...I have 3 mixed breed dogs. And they all probably came from someone who wanted their dog to have "just one litter" like you stated earlier. Somehow I doubt their siblings fared as lucky as the 3 I have...

Again, I will call your mixed breed yorkie/schnauzer a mutt. Again, I will tell you to do some research! Just because a dog is registered AKC, doesn't mean it is healthy! LOOK IT UP! Miniature Schnauzers have major genetic health issues!!!! And most of the genes that a Yorkie has are recessive genes. So, if the Schnauzer is a carrier for any of the horrible defects that are well know for the breed, your sweet little mixed breed mutt will have them!!! OMG! Why don't you BYB's stop!

Your dog is registered CKC! Woo Hoo! All it takes to register a dog with them is 3 pictures of the dog and two letters from people saying it is whatever breed you want to claim! That gives me the warm fuzzies! I would really trust that registry!

You say, "I'm not some stupid person that doesn't know what she is doing. " Obviously you are if you are in here looking looking for a stud!

Are you insulting mutts? I love mutts and I am the PROUD mom of 2 very adorable mutts. I wouldn't trade them for ANY dog. Also, AKC means nothing. I can register my cats as Yorkies if I wanted to.
Mutt is another word for mixed breed, and if your dogs are schnauzer/yorkie mix, then, well...
The AKC recognizing that as a breed should tell you something.
Bottom line...there is nothing wrong with mutts or mixed breeds or what ever you want to call them. There is no reason for you to be insulted if someone called your dog mutt. It doesn't matter what they are as long as you love them.

She will NOT be recognized with AKC, she is l NOT purebred and she IS "registered" with a bogus scam registry.
I can also assure you from all the involvement that I've had with AKC over the years that they did NOT say it was ok to breed her and she would be a recognized breed or was a recognized breed. Again she IS NOT a purebred..she is a MIX and any puppies she produces will be MIXES as well

All of the following are scam registries, they aren't real they are registries made up by BYB/Mills to register pretty much anything with 4 legs & a tail..they are used to make people believe they have a registered dog when in reality they do not..they are nothing but cons, fakes.
America’s Pet Registry (APRI)
Continental Kennel Club (CKC)
Canine Kennel Club (CKC)
United All Breed Registry
North American Purebred Dog Registry
American Canine Association,
WorldWide Kennel Club,
National Pet Registry,
National Dog Registry,
Universal Kennel Club

Besides the AKC the only other legit registry in the US is the United Kennel Club (UKC) They are the second largest purebred registry.

CKC? You mean the "Continental Kennel Club"? Also known as the "We'll register a goat as a 'Great Dane' if you pay us enough money" Kennel Club?

Did you do ANY research before you went out and paid too much money for a mutt with "papers" that are completely and totally worthless?

I *sincerely* doubt anyone at the AKC told you that it was "okay to breed her with either a Yorkie or a Schnauzer and still recognize her breed".

Yes, you are some dumb person who doesn't know what she is doing.

You paid $700 for a mutt because someone saw that you had "I AM REALLY REALLY GULLIBLE, PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY" stamped on your forehead.

And any "AKC" owner who would want to breed with your mutt is just as gullible as you are. The AKC will not register dogs if both parents are not AKC registered, and all you end up with is a bunch of puppies that adds to the overpopulation problem.

Have you been to the Arlington shelter yet?

A Snorkie is not a recognized pure bred dog. On your CKC papers your dog will probably be registered as a cross. The CKC is registering crosses like this and this does not make her purebred. She might be out of the 2 breeds she is supposed to be out of. So she is a cross bred dog. If you breed her to another Snorkie, genitically you don't know what you will get. If you have AKC purebred dogs, then why on earth would you want to breed a mutt??

Wanna know something funny? I have a whippet crossed with a pitbull. She cost me 230 because she was spayed and had just gotten all of her shots.

I guess she is as purebred as your snoorkie and cost 1/3 of the price!

Not only that... I hereby declare that she is no longer a loveable mutt, but a very proud pippet.

If only she wasn't spayed I would see if I could keep the line going! Too bad I am a RESPONSIBLE pet owner who would only breed a dog to preserve a speciman of a purebred line... not because I would want to be a backyard breeder....

As for selling your puppies for $600 good luck! Once you explain that they are registered snorkie crosses, you will only get laughs and probably something similar to "I think I will look at the shelter and get a dog for $100....".

Do everyone a favour and spay her!

By the way... was your shnoodle from the pound a $700 dog too...?
