The Department of Justice has confirmed plans to add DNA of
people under arrest to the FBI’s national crime database in an
effort to track illegal aliens. The database will be used
specifically to link illegal aliens to future infractions.
Under the current system, DNA is only taken from criminals who
have committed felonies or misdemeanors.

What do you think about this ?
Good or bad ? And Why ?

I think it is a good starting point and anything they can do no matter how small or big, every ounce of effort is welcomed and needed. Many of these guys are sex offenders who pry upon women and childeren for that reason alone this needs to be done

I have to agree with Yo. That may be the way they introduce the idea, but soon enough it will be used to track us all. How long before our doctors are gathering DNA for the database? And we wouldn't need to track illegals if our laws were being enforced. It sounds like we'd be spending money on watching them instead of deporting them. It also sounds like preparation for amnesty.

Everytime the likes of you try to shoot down illegal aliens, it's the entire American nation that gets hit. ALL THE TIME! Are the employees of the FBI and the Justice Dept. not Americans? Or because of the economic downturn, the federal government decided to employ illegals with no education at all, instead of citizens? We are on the world wide web, how do you think citizens of other countries would think about Americans, most especially about federal employees? The likes of you are the ones dragging us down to the ditch! You are actually inviting all the foreign heinous criminals to come here, by telling them that hey our federal agents are so incompetent, US laws apply only to US citizens, and not to illegals! NOBODY is above the law in this country! Didn't you know that? You have been made to believe that our government is so incompetent, it needs YOU to help it? That's how you view OUR government, and you call yourself a PATRIOT? And by being too cheeky about it, you spread the word about your government to the whole world, very authoritatively! Our government personnel, some of them die, some of them go to jail, in the performance of their sworn duties. They do it for you and me, so please be considerate.

Why do we have to go so complex? Biometrics are much cheaper and do the same job. If we are in the attitude that we prefer to spend trillions of dollars to keep track of people looking for a better life than to actually help them get out of that situation, we are losing our moral totally.

Good. Since they get fake documents it is kind of hard to pull them up sometimes.

What could be bad about it?

And to those that say 'just deport them' the problem is that they keep coming back - under a different identity.

I don't like it.

#1 - We should make a REAL effort to keep them out...eliminating the need to DNA test them.

#2 - Today the gov't wants to keep DNA info on illegals...tomorrow they'll want to do it to citizens and legal residents.

Our freedoms make the Red, White and Blue significant and meaningful...I'm not willing to give up my freedom...are you?

I say just deport them. Never mind tracking them.

I don't think we need that level of sophistication. Just deport them and all their rugrats with them!
