My computer is all messed up. And i want to completely format my computer and reinstall windows. i have the disc, but i do not have the registry key.

So is there any way for my to find the registry key of my computer???

My computer is Windows XP Home Edition??????

I think you mean the product key because you will need that in order to reinstall windows. It can usually be found on a sticker that is on your case. Look around the case (especially the back) for a sticker with lots of numbers and microsoft on it.

The installation key can be found by decrypting the registry entry. this is difficult. use a third party program such as the 'Magic Jellybean Keyfinder'. Search for it on google.

when u using the disk,u dont need any registry key. all u have to do is get ur disk in the system and restart,then follow screen instruction

go to start then to my computer and click on view system information on the left. Your answer will be there

there is a small tool called cd key grabber. Google it.
