yes there are 800mb cds, but they are about the price of a dvd, so its really not worth it, and yes you can write blu-ray discs. a BD-R (read/write) drive costs about $450.

To my knowledge, there ARE 800mb cds. That is the highest that i've ever seen. The next step up is DVDs.

Not to my knowledge. If you want more space you'll have to use a DVD or BluRay disc (though I'm not even sure you can write a BluRay at the moment).
