I am not a big fan of Jehovah's Witnesses, but in all fairness to them, almost everybody believes that their religion is the only true religion. In religion there is no middle ground. You either believe in a certain God or you do not.

Counterfeit Christianity is probably the best description I can give for a cult. Counterfeit Christianity is an imitation of real Christianity. Bible terms like "Jesus Christ, Resurrection, Salvation, and Atonement" are used by the Cult, but entirely different meanings have been assigned to these terms by the various cult groups.
Like counterfeit money which is sometimes difficult to detect, so it is difficult to detect counterfeit Christianity, since it looks like the real thing. Experts examining counterfeit money often hold it up to a strong light and look for identifying marks. Counterfeit Christianity also has identifying marks which can be seen when held up to an even stronger light, the light of God's word, the bible.
We are at an advantage if we know what to expect from a cult. Cultists are very well trained to appear "Christian", and indeed believe they are the true church, and you need the deliverance! Therfore, be bold and ask the question, "Do you believe the group you represent is the only true church on the face of the earth?"
If they reply that they are, or if they are evasive, making remarks like "Well, every church has a measure of truth but...", you have made an early detection of a Cultist.
Every true Chistian, if asked the same question, regardless of his denomination, would reply that the true church is comprised of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and HE (not some organization) is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, (John 14:6). No legitimate denomonation would claim that they alone and their members have salvation exclusively, but the cults (the counterfeits) do.

Anyone who is serious about his religion should think that it is the right one. Otherwise, why would he or she be involved in it? Christians are admonished.
Make sure of all things, hold fast to what is fine. 1Thessalonians 5:21 A person should make sure that his beliefs can be supported by the Scriptures, for there is only one true faith. Ephesians 4:5 confirms this, mentioning one Lord, one faith, one baptism. Jesus did not agree with the modern, relaxed view that there are many roads, many religions, all leading to salvation. Instead, he said, Narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that they have found it. Otherwise, they would look for another religion. Matthew7:14

Most every religions, Christian or not, believe that, inlcuding every Jewish Sect, including the one started nearly 2000 years ago by a former carpenter with no religious education, and look where that ended up. I can think of a few that are far more, such as a certain group that was in the national news last fall when several of their children were killed in a school house that had no electricity or plumbing.

Either Jehovah's Witnesses are the only people you have ever interacted with, or you're being rather closed-minded in a different sort of way.

They aren't the only ones. What I don't like about them though is that they go door to door and try to stuff THEIR religion down anyone's throat that will listen. I have answered the door and it is one of them and I kindly explain that I am happy with my religion and they keep trying to talk and hand out crap I have NO interest in. I will SLAM the door every time from now on when they are at it.
Feel free to believe however you wish, but let me exercise my right to do the same, whether it be "right" or "wrong", it's MY choice.

I would just like to clarify the myths about us & explain why you should consider being open-minded towards US. As Witnesses, we are the only religion not to go to war for "our country". why? Because it does not make sense to go kill another human being, especially if He happened to be your "brother." The reason we do door-to-door is simply because Jehovah commanded us to do so in the Bible. Whether you like it or not, the Bible is true & is fact. It was written over 100's of years by 10's of men and does NOT have a single contradiction in it. Can any other "holy book" do that? It has also proven true by the accurate prophecies it has foretold. Jehovah says, "You are my witnesses", thus "JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES." He foretold that his true people would preach all over the earth. Who do you think of when you see a door-to-door person? Many religions have tried to do it, but they simply cannot. They are too busy fighting & cannot have God's Holy Spirit to impart peace & unity among them. Another thing foretold was "many would be on the path to destruction & few on the path to life." Now, nobody will disagree that we do a lot of things differently than you. So WHO is that "small crowd" on the "narrow path to life?" Certainly not all these people who hop on the bandwagon of trends & will just celebrate a birthday or holiday w/o thinking of what's behind it. And anybody saying we are close-minded is simply a fool. When we mention God & WANT to talk about it, who runs away or slams a door? You may. We WANT to Sit down & study/reason it out & PROVE to you, for FREE of charge, one-on-one because it takes time to explain things. Ask any convention center owner or hotel manager what he thinks of Witnesses & he'll say they're the cleanest, most law-abiding, trustworthy people I've ever dealt with. Nobody needs to be afraid of us...just ASK us & TALK to us. Be reasonable. You CANNOT sit there & tell me that life as we know it, so perfect & so in unity, came here by a mindless little parasite. Think about it. We copy nature in OUR creations all the time. Doesn't it sound REASONABLE to accept that since a COPY requires intelligent design that the ORIGINAL, which is SO MUCH better also requires a designer? I know I may be sounding strict, but if "so and so" religion was the TRUE one, don't you think they would be out there trying to teach you? YOU are the converter. YOU have the choice. YOU can choose whether or not to convert. That is YOUR choice. WE do not try to convert people. True, in the end, that is what we would like but it is also & mainly what Jehovah wants. And remember, we get NO money out of this so if it was all a scam, why on earth would we scam you in the 1st place!? Just think.........logically. Think about the little things in life, think about the wonders of nature, think about if YOUR church is really wanting to Help & save you or if it doesn't make sense, is hypocritical, & seems like they're just in it for the $$$. We are NOT perfect & do not claim to be. We have been wrong in the past about certain things BUT find a religion that hasn't. And when we were wrong, we were not far off. We looked more into it, studied, & corrected things. Sure there may be a FEW details we're not 100% right about now, but we're darn close. And because of Jehovah's Holy Spirit, those little, little details can be speculated on & do not really have much importance for what's about to happen to mankind. All we're doing is warning pple. of God's coming Judgment to earth. It's NOT a bad thing. Just listen, be reasonable. WE listen to crazy things from pple. all the time, so please take the time to listen to US. If you don't like it, just say so after LISTENING. We have reasons for coming back to a house. So what if you have to tell us not interested again? Maybe something happened that would make you interested. Maybe a new person moved into the house & hasn't been talked to yet. Really, it's THAT hard to tell us "not interested" for 2 seconds. We take it pretty well. We're not trying to sell anything & we promise to be nice...even if YOU are not. Please, if you don't believe ME, WHY believe some stranger who says we're a "cult"? SEE FOR YOURSELF. Go to one of our meetings. Trust me, it can only benefit you & won't cost you a dime. Thank you.

Everybody thinks that what they
believe is the truth and the way.
Jehovah's Witnesses are part
of "everybody."

I recall an adage from years gone
by, "Truth like beauty, is in the eye
of the beholder."

Be patient with Jehovah's Witnesses.
Eventually, they will find their way out
of the wilderness.

A lot of Christian organizations make that claim. Witnesses want to be unique. Besides being very close-minded, they are also very strict. Try converting to it, and then living in rural Nebraska. You might go crazy. No thanks.
