Suicide is not a good answer in any case, because by committing suicide you are not giving youself the chance to get better. Chances are if you are feeling depressed there are people and things that contribute to the way that you are feeling, but you have the ability to break away from those people and things.

Instead of resulting to suicide, try thinking about what is causing you to be so unhappy and try changing some things in your life. For example, if you don't have friends- join a club or activity to meet new people.
If it really becomes too much for to handle, see a doctor maybe they can prescribe you with medication,

Good luck!

suicide is a misunderstood thing. we're all going to die anyway. that means suicidal and non-suicidal people aren't very different after all. the question is if there's something immoral or if it's just a bad decision to choose to die earlier than this world decides to take your life from you.

i think it's a personal decision. i won't say suicide is right or wrong. i suspect it can be either one. there are over 6 billion people on earth, all with their own realities, and to judge someone when you don't live their reality is extremely arrogant. you wouldn't want someone judging you for all of your decisions, would you?

this is a question that MUST fall to the individual, in my opinion. i say if suicide is right for you, then by all means i believe you should have the right to that decision. but make sure it's a decision you won't regret.

suicide is never the answer. but you are not thinking clearly.

Suicide hurts everyone. Especially the ones that are left behind and asking why. i had a very beloved special step son who killed his self over a gurl. he was so young. suicide is not the permanent answer to a temporary problem. life is scary and it hurts sometimes. but it is a beautiful ride. my struggles and my pain have helped mold me into a incredible person who is happy, Joyce Meyers has helped me a lot.

I can helped what people have done to me ; but i can help my response. I chose to be a victor not a Victim!

God has given me beauty for ashes. and the best is yet to come.
look at the litlele Caterpillar , struggle from the its confiding cocoon.

I love life and I am a trophy of God's grace Amen!!!
that struggle to ger out makes the butterfly beautiful! That is me"!

No it is never the answer. Suicide is a cry for help. Those who think about it or attempt it need support, and encouragement to see that life is really worth living. That their despair is temporary and that life is far too precious to throw away. That tomorrow is another day the sun will rise and throw light on a new perspective. If they realised the hurt and pain they would cause their loved ones then they would not contemplate this selfish act.

in extreme cases like people with terminal cancer getting worse by the day they feel they HAVE to do something to get out of the pain. but in all other cases its a permanent answer to temporary problem.
i have seen the extreme cases many times & a hopeless feeling comes over you since you know there is nothing you can do to help this person you care about.

There is an insult unto death and if one is deeply affected by friends and family there is often no way out as the mind chemicals destroy logical thinking. Look at the numbers of white males who do suicide in USA today. Yes extreme is taking many lives. Good is not the word I would use. It shows me many are not kind at all to the male outcast.

If you have a terminal illness and keeping you alive through medical machines to prolong the suffering is forced on you, then I can see why you would beg for suicide.

After all, if there is nothing you can do to help make that person's last few weeks or days better when they've reached their threshold of pain and are going to die soon... I would definately help them achieve that goal.

It's the ethical thing to do. Just shut down the machines and let them go.

What do you mean by, "extreme cases"? I don't know that taking ones own life can ever be the right answer. It is the coward's way out of life. It means you have the last word, and your family won't get to say goodbye...so you win. Is that what you want? To be a coward?

Suicide is never the answer.

Many times, though, individuals who commit or attempt to commit suicide are actually trying to end some type of personal pain and not end their life, but end their life as a type of "collateral damage" in attempting to end their pain.

I've never been suicidal, but I am a chronic pain patient, and I understand the distinction between wanting to end your pain and wanting to end your life. I LIVE that distinction, 24/7.
