not many people seem to be understanding your question eh. I wouldn't say shag in front of old ladies, but I would at work with colleagues. It is not as bad as F*** though.
Sod is a very tame word like someone else said, 'poor sod' or 'sod's law', and is used in England but not much in Scotland or the rest of the UK either I'd guess.

Shagging is just the British term for having sex. Never heard of sod until just now.

Are you concerned about YOUR manners?
Yahoo let them pass without **** them out
how many use 'bloody this and that'.
It may also where you are
In the UK shag is a slang
and 'sod' never heard it used, must be Aussi.
But you can be just as rude as you wish today.

In Australia I'd give bloody a 3/10. You probably wouldn't use it in a sentence when talking to your grandmother, but it's not that offensive.

ummmm....no. shag means to have sex. Well it really means to catch grounds balls in baseball, but the slang term that us pervs use means to have sex, so really..old ladies probably wouldn't know what you were talking about, but i definitly wouldn't use it at work. you might get in trouble.

sod is also used as a replacement for "bastard".
"poor sod" or "old sod".

Oh no, the one I can't stand is "bollocks". If I hear that term again I'll flip.
