I don't think it would be possible, because coordinating something of that scale would be very difficult to do secretly in a country the size of the United States. Seriously, think of the logistics involved.
But somehow they did it in Eastern Europe--look up "velvet revolution."

Not if the government has anything to say about it! In the 60's, during peaceful demonstrations, the government actually planted "instigators" in the crowds to start fights so they could call in reinforcements and break up the fighting. The government does not like peaceful protesters because it is harder to call them radicals. If a person or group is articulate and makes a good case for their view, then they gain credibility. If your credible, you can create an audience, and possibly change. Politicians have way too much invested in the way things are to let the status quo be compromised. The governments' answer to that is to divide and conquer, keeping like-minded people from comparing thoughts. But, hope springs eternal, maybe one day it will be possible for peace to win out over politics.

Oh YEA !
That I'd love to see.
I 'm picturing it as we speak;
instead of a million man march we could try a million car park.
People with RV's could stock up for a long seige and ALL head for D.C., and park. Then from the middle everyone else parks and leaves.
Clog freeways, airports, harbors, tow truck companies, bridges.
Park and walk.
Valet parking experience a must.
PACK'EM IN NICE'N TIGHT !!
Bring a bike, some blades, a horse, a motorbike, whathaveyou.
Park and ride.
It would be especially helpful to have unions, like the Teamsters and the Longshoremen in on it, Transit and Law Enforcement ; those guys git thangs done.
A National Seizure ??
Everyone goes on strike.
What are they going to do??!!
SHOOT EVERYONE ??!
Arrest everyone and fill up those secret internment camps they've been building of late ?
Up until the moment they try THAT it will be a passive, non-violent crippling of the nation that could force resignation of the entire Republican party and death by hanging from global criminal charges

Are you kidding??
Peaceful --- Overthrow ??? I can't recall a single historical entry where those 2 words have been used in the same sentence.
I would dare to say, if you peacefully tried. You would be going home with gas filled eyes, and a couple of pop-knots on your head.

Yes!
It is not only possible, but there actions already in progress to do so, the best you can axhieve the removal of our corrupt government is fight fire with fire.
We must use politics and beat them at thier own game, in doing so we would achieve the attention of the whole world, as well as its respect.
But there are things that each and every one of us must do to achieve that goal, first and formost we must vote, but dont vote for politicians, vote for a Constitutional Convention!
And as it has already been pointed out it will be quite the daunting task but it is not only NECESSARY but possible. The will of the American people has never failed in the past and we must asure that it never does.
We have that responsibility to the whole world...but more so we owe it to the future of humanity, the American people must once more unite to preserve freedom, only this time it is our own...
VOTE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peace to all, now more than ever...

No because, if we HAD to overthrow them, it would be because, IT WAS A DICTATORSHIP, that is why it is SO important, the The U.S Constitution has "The right to bear arm's" put in it by our forefathers. If we want to throw a "Dictatorship" out, what are we supposed to do, send them "Nasty" letters ?, they will be violent and suppress the uprising with the use of "DEADLY FORCE" !
