I do and i always need prayer from anyone who wants to pray for me and my family. Recently my son had a seizure and never had one before in his life so it took us all by shock so i would ask that you please say a special prayer for him because no one is above prayer at any time and i know I'm not and thank you so much and God Bless You for being able to do what the holy spirit lays on your heart to do. May the lord bless and keep you strong in your belief and faith.

I've been out of touch with the faith community for about twelve years. My first wife was a spirit filled woman to be sure, but a completely faithless wife. After our inevitable divorce (she booting me for a man who could offer her nothing but a dime bag and a TANF check) it was made very clear to me that the church she and I had attended, and in which I was baptized was hers, not mine. I have spent the last decade in a religious deep freeze. I've allowed myself to drift along the path of least resistance that leads to a cynical indifference of the spirit. Sometimes the lost are not those who are simply unredeemed.

That being said it isn't on my behalf that I would request your prayers. The ex-wife in question went on to remarry about a half a dozen times. I now have custody of our kids resulting from abuse she inflicted upon them and some that came at the hands of the males (married or otherwise) she shared her home with. In the year since my child support payments stopped she has been couch surfing in homeless shelters and has most recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness. The one constant throughout her life was a fanatical obsession with Jesus, a measure by which all of us have fallen short.

Here's the thing... Those of us purchased by Christ's shed blood are all the faithless first bride of a long suffering groom. His example dictates compassion, even for those who have not (in any human scale) earned it. So... If you are inclined I encourage you to send a little blessing her way. She is clearly a soul that never found what it was looking for in this world. Maybe your pleading will provide a moment's peace on the way out of it.

In all seriousness, I think everyone does. I know I need all the prayers I can get. You are obviously a caring person. Do remember....The most effective prayers are backed by your actions and sacrifices of time and energy toward the cause you are praying about. Simple belief becomes true faith if you act on it. That is also when God tends to help most. That is why faith is so powerful. Thanks, jason

No one needs prayer although it can be a placebo so if you are feeling in need of something prayer might make you feel better. But as to the holy spirit I would do some serious soul searching and questioning before telling people that it told you to do things. You should also have some extremely good arguments if you are going to state something like that .Arguments about the bible and faith in this case just won´t cut it.

If anything in this life has kept me sane, it has been prayer. I pray for help on tests. I pray for those who are troubled around me. When I am scared or nervous, I pray for calmness and peace. I pray when I lose things. I pray when I am making major decisions in my life. I pray with gratitude for my heater and my family. Yes, at least one person in this world needs prayer, and it is me. Communication with God is one of the greatest gifts He has given us.

yes. prayer can be in form of strong thought ( law of attraction)and also sayings (like whisper). it is one kind of element of effort that has to be there when you are doing something.

the best way to pray is praying before, during and after you do something you want. it strengthen you effort and intention.

When people feel hopeless and have nowhere to turn they turn to religion. They know certain things are out of their control but by praying to God then maybe they'll get what they need.

I should ask someone to pray for me who thinks the holy spirit talks to them and tells them to offer prayers on Yahoo questions?? There's a guy who lives in a cardboard box down the street from me who hears voices all the time. Wouldn't he do just as good a job as you?
