10 MINUTE SHRIMP
1 lb. medium shrimp, pre-cooked, frozen
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon (or more to taste) Old Bay seasoning
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1 teaspoon chopped garlic or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Frank's Hot Sauce
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
Do not thaw shrimp. Place shrimp in a microwave-proof bowl (if using fresh garlic, add now) and microwave on high setting for 2-3 minutes or until shrimp are steaming hot. Drain liquid.
While shrimp are hot, add butter, hot sauce, (lemon and parsley, if using) and remaining seasonings. Return to microwave for 10 seconds, or until butter has melted. Serve garnished with lemon wedges and sprinkled with Morton's Hot Salt.

Something could, yes. Uncovered and unrefridgerated foods (if they need to be kept cold) are much more likely to attract mold, most of which is toxic and could cause for some nasty cases of food poisoning. While food poisoning is usually just unpleasant and involves upset stomach, vomiting, diahrrea, cramps, and other such issues, food poisoning can also be deadly. But you should also look at this situation from a financial and practical standpoint as well. Leaving food out to grow mold causes you to throw away food that you might otherwise have reheated and eaten. So when your friend does this, it also wastes money and supplies that could go to important and less wasteful things. Lastly... food left out that long usually just tastes nasty. Eww.

Yes, but you should do so by placing them in some liquid so they do not dry out. Shrimp cooks quickly; if they turn pink the shrimp is done.

Yes, but don't cook too long. Put them in a little tiny bit of liquid, cook on LOW for a short time. Cook too long or too high and they'll get tough.
