which is the salt shaker and which is the pepper shaker? One has 1 hole and the other has 3.?

pepper has the three holes and the salt has one, salt pores easier then the pepper, that's why.

The fact is ... if u put pepper in any of the bottles then it becomes pepper shaker and the other salt.

But more approriate is salt in one hole shaker and pepper in the 3 hole shaker.

You dont want salt ruining you meal when u didnt intend to put so much but i just came out of the three holes than u expected.

Well, if you like pepper more than salt, put the pepper in the shaker with 3 holes and vice versa. I think the salt is intended for the one-holer because it comes out faster; salt is a crystal and much more dense than the pepper.

It all depends on which you want to come out more. I think originally pepper had fewer holes, but so many people use the fewer holes for salt now because of low-salt diets.
