I have a great date idea! (perfect for an 11 year old)
Ok, make it a saterday night, and take everybody out of the house. So there is just your 11-year-old daughter and her boyfriend there, alone. Stay away for a few hours, give them some time to enjoy the date. Also, before you leave, hand the boyfriend a condom and tell him good luck!

Now im sorry, but i'm only trying to make a point. Allowing your daughter to hold hands with a boyfriend is ok, but don't let them really date yet. You are only asking for something bad to happen. Or your daughter will be hurt. There are plenty of things she shouldn't know or care about at her age.

So, no "real" dates. Something fun, normal like she was with her friends is acceptable. If you catch the guy making a move, you should have a talk with her, tell her she needs to just wait untill shes older.

I'm really not trying to tell you how to parent your child, but merely sharing some advice, and giving you something to think about.

Good Luck, and Best regaurds

Question, why is your 11 year old daughter dating. She still needs her diapers changed. Who said she could have a boyfriend anyway? What happened to the Barbie dolls? Have you consider that you may end up either a grandmother or grandfather? This is hypothetical. But who assumes responsibility then? You're the adult and the one that's responsible, right? Somebody needs to slow down a bit. Don't you think?

11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER! Do you hear yourself? She'll be pregnant before she gets to high school. I think you shouldn't allow her to date at least until high school. A lot of parents say that I'm going to let them date or else they'll do it behind my back but if you respect her and talk to her as an adult and tell her your reasons why don't want her to date then she will respect you enough and listen to you and wait. If she's 11 years old and she'll do it behind your back anyway then you spoiled her too much already. If you really need ideas take them to Chuckie cheese's or something. If you are okay with them dating then I seriously suggest you going along with them.

Hoops, your 11 year old is way too young to date. You should not be encouraging or supporting it. It is OK for them to be friends though. Why not let your daughter choose a movie and have the young man over to watch, with you at home with them?

C'mon people. Hoops is NOT the mother of an 11 year old. She IS the 11 year old.

11 is really too young to date. Girls are growing up WAY too fast but they're only young once. Try and keep them innocent while you can.

If it's insistent, only public places. Rollerskating, bowling, movie that you drive them to and pick them up from, lunch at a fun diner, something in public places.

Good luck.

Dating? You are kidding right? Sixth graders? They are babies! And way too young to date. At this rate they will be married by 18.
