my dad said he'd come to my b-day party but didn't show-up or call an explain does he still care

Oh, hon. Of course he still cares. But there are some people in this world who truly don't understand the pain and hurt they cause others - especially their own children. So, just know he loves you in his own way and keep your expectations low. Concentrate on the blessings in your life and allow me to sing "Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to Yooooo! Happy Birthday to you!!" Have a great year, ok? Take care - you're going to have a wonderful life!!

of course he loves you! parents always love their children...well, I wouldn't deny there are some crazy parents...but I don't think your dad is "crazy" :-) maybe he was just TOO busy...So couldn't come to your b day party, even though he really, really wanted to see you and celebrate your b day. Maybe you could tell your dad how you felt when he didn't come to your birthday party and ask why he didn't come....then he will explain why....Don't worry!

Yes. He still loves and cares about you. You're his daughter. Maybe he forgot. I know how you feel. On my birthday party's my father is usually not there. Like one time we had my birthday party at my house and my father was in the basement. I felt the same way you do.

People are so busy these days...parents especially. Even though I don't know the full answer, don't worry about it. Just ask for an explanation, and he should tell you the truth.

I am much sure that he does but may be is having other reasons that is not comfortable to be sharing. You may be can talk to him and telling him that you are hurting that he did not come and asking him what happen.
