obviously this question is for Christians as they believe in God. So many ask why God allows tragedy but never look at the good. Any thoughts?

God gave man free will He does not interfere with that so when bad people seem to get away with good stuff we can all know that come judgment day that bad person will not remember they will be begging God to forgive them all we can do is pray for the sinner and forgive them but not the sin

For everything that God allows there is a reason. His thoughts are not our thoughts and vice versa. By Him being the all knowing God, what ever He allows will only work out for our good in the long run. Like, I used to be an abused wife. I used to wonder why God allowed so much heartache to come up on me. No I know that everything He allowed has helped me in my calling and in my profession. I am more in toned with the 'downtrodden' people who come my way. If I had not been thru anything, I think I would be as judgemental as I see many of my collegues. May God Bless U.

This one has never given me a satisfactory answer. Many lifelong dictators either die before the come before judgement, go into a comfortable exile, or manage to vanish altogether and never pay for their crimes. Hate groups flourish and often hold on to their membership through generations. Rapists and serial killers get away with untold crimes and some are never caught, or die before they can be. Abusive spouses or parents get away with nearly anything unless they do something to get noticed. White-collar criminals get away with stealing billions every year from people who do actual work, and live happily ever after.

Meanwhile, neither the Christian, Muslim, or Judaic gods do a single thing for the victims...yet they get credited with absurd coincidences and "miraculous" rescues that hit the front pages. No protection, no comfort, no help of any kind except through mortal groups (where there are any). The tales of divine intervention on someone's behalf are miniscule compared to the crimes that are gotten away with. And the best answer that the theists can give is "They'll get theirs after they die."?

I'm sure that will come as great comfort to the people hurt by all of the above mentioned. Especially since no one really knows for sure what actually does happen after death.

Those aren't necessarily really good things that are happening to those people. What is going on is that they want God to leave them alone so He leaves them alone. They get their reward here on earth and go to the hell of remorse in the next life. When we see riches and good fortune happening for others we should not view it as being somewhere upward from ourselves. That is truly vertigo. You will see what I mean if you look into why there are so many new billionaires and millionaires. Look deep. Then let it be. There is nothing you would want to do about this situation if only you knew. The world of humanity, the rational soul of individuals and the quality of human endeavor has evolved and will continue to evolve until the people of earth are one spiritual people. By spiritual I mean that in general people will be more prone to embracing the virtues, the spiritual qualities, such as charity, humility (especially in leaders), justice, tranquility, investigation of the truth for oneself, love for neighbor and more. We here on earth are more alike than we are different. We are about to find that out in a big way.

Christians would probably tell you Free will.
My personal philosophy is that if bad things never happened, you would never know when something good happened!
Also, some people look at this life as a test, difficulties happen to test faith and strength.

It is impossible for us to fully understand the ways of a God who puts our faith to such strenuous tests. Yet the story of Job reminds us that God can take evil deeds done by others and work them into the fabric of His plan for our good.

God doesn't shield His people from all of the wickedness and suffering of a fallen world. But He alone has the power to use pain, persecution, and even death as part of His plan for our ultimate good ( Romans 8:28 ).

good things happen to bad people
bad things happen to good people
good things happen to good people
bad things happen to bad people
we cant say this is the work of God or the work of Satan
because there is no structure to what is happening
it is free will and circumstance
