many friends asked me that question everyone said it works best when you put a blanket or some kind of cloth on top of the cage to make it pretend its night that way they'll shush if you have two birds the one who isn't a bother can be taken out of the cage and onto someone's room that's what i do with my birds. Also you can take it and put it into another cage.

How old is your parakeet? When did you acquire him? Has any new birds come in contact with him. If all is normal and he's been there for a while, they he is prolly just crying for attention. Birds do that. My little guys scream every time I leave the room. Just in case though, keep an eye on your little feathered friend. If you notice changes in his eating pattern or activity, then you should take your bird to the vet right away.

He might be going through a hormonal surge. This should pass in 2 weeks. Cover the cage for 2 minutes with each occurrence. Sometimes this works. I trained mine to whisper when he gets too loud. I said and demonstrated "Can you whisper like this?" It works for about 15 minutes lol. Have a tweet year.
