Can I dub a commercial VHS tape onto DVD?

I have old favorite purchased VHS tapes & a VHS/DVD recorder. Can I transfer the copyrighted tapes to DVD?

No. Your vhs/dvd combo recorder won't allow you to copy protected tapes.
