Ted keeps alittle quite about HIS Military service because he was forced to withdraw from Harvard for two years in May 1951 after he was caught cheating on his final examination in a Spanish class.

To avoid the draft and Korea, he then enlisted in the U.S. Army for two years and was assigned to the SHAPE headquarters in Paris via family connections.

Just not very "macho".

Teddy actually served in the US army during the Korean conflict from 1951 thru 1953. There is no known history of Teddy having served in combat or even being sent to Korea, so he probably avoids talking about it for fear of being accused of having a cushy assignment, because of his political nudge.

There is evidence of his being invited to join the Green Bay Packers, following his collegiate football experience at Yale. He declined the offer, telling the Packers that he planned on attending law school, and going into another contact sport, politics!

Ted Kennedy was born 22 February 1932 in Brookline, Mass.

He was in the US Army from 1951-1953.

Personally, I despise this fat, alcoholic, hypocritical killer.....but he did serve his country, so I'll give the devil his due.

What a pathetic joke that was. He spent not one second in danger from any war. He was in Paris drinking and partying his allowance away. He has only molded with age and should be ashamed of still sucking taxpayer's money down his gaping pork hole. Should have died at Chappaquiddick.
