If you go to a salon, you may notice that the beautician sprays some oil sheen on your hair before she applies the hot iron to your hair. The oil sheen acts as a barrier from the heat. That's the same thing you can use at home when you're about to flat iron. Spray a little bit of oil sheen all over your hair and do your thang. Works every time.

It keeps your hair from breaking and helps with flyaways. just be sure you wash your hair the next day so it doesnt look greasy.

Joico - Silk Result (it's a thermal protection spray, it's awesome but expensive)

AG has a thermal spray too that is less expensive and works well

Matrix has one too (sleeklook) and it's pretty good, but a bit expensive

If you have a 'Sallys Hair and Beauty' shop near you go there and they will have a selection of protective sprays - otherwise tresemme do one that is sold at just about all mainstreet chemists.
