I always get stomach aches when I wake up really early. Pepto doesnt help. I dont eat late at night. I dont know why this happens or how to help it. Any ideas as to why this happens?? Any cures??

It may actually just be hunger. Try keeping some crackers by your bed and eating a few right when you wake up -- this will help if the problem is hunger and also if the problem is stomach acid. If the pain is severe, it may be worth seeing a doctor just to rule out anything serious.

It could be just your bodys way of telling you that you need to eat. I sometimes myself have this happen and when I eat something, even if it's just a little bit of food, it seems to help. Your blood sugar may be a little low and it's just your body's way of telling you to eat something. When you first wake up, eat or drink something small. What seems to work for me is eating some yogurt or drinking some juice. This may help your stomach a little.

Are you constipated?

drink flat ginger ale, I hear it settles the stomach although I am not sure how well it will taste early in the morning

dont eat fruit in the morning... just a thought :-)

I use to get this problem when i was on the pill, it made me very sick.
or you could be just hungry.
