This is the problem

"Could not open key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes blah blah blah…

Verify that you have sufficient access to that key"

Could anyone translate what the hell that means into English please!

And can someone please tell me what I have to do to get it to download Itunes.

N.B. I had it working before, then it didn't allow me access to the music store, so I tried deleting it and re-downloading it agian, and now it's stuck.

As always, any help is appreciated, as long as it is help.

Also, I am always unsure which of the following to do when it comes to downloading these files: run or save.

Should I save the Quicktime + Itunes file or should I run it, because at the moment I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have tried using "Unlocker" to unlock quicktime + Itune files to delete them so I can reinstall them, but NOTHING and I mean NOTHING is working.

To what lengths will I have to go to, so that I can download Itunes. Am I going to have to restore my hard drive or whatever it is.

Hello highfive90,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems, but I've never seen a message like this before. Do you have a Mac or Windows? You must be using Windows because the Mac OS X and Unix doesn't use the slashes that way (\). They use the regular slashes (/) instead.

Since iTunes and Quicktime are free programs, they don't really need any key. Apple has a Quicktime Pro, which offers more features, but you have to pay some money to Apple to get the key for that. You can still use iTunes without it though.

The new Macintosh version definitely needs the latest upgrade of Quicktime which you can easily download from the Apple web site. I'm not sure about the Windows version of iTunes though.

If it says that it requires the latest version of Quicktime also, you can download a Windows version of Quicktime easily from the Apple web site:

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

I hope that this helps you.
