I have adelphia digital cable, and it has been set up before and worked fine. Recently though, the digital cable doesn't work. The digital menu comes up with all of the tv listings, but there is no sound and the screen is black. The cable cord is plugged in from the wall to the cable box and then to my tv. If I plug my tv straight into the wall, the cable works fine, it's just not digital. Is this something that's wrong with the settings on my tv/box or is this something I need to contact Adelphia about (posting here because it's Friday...). Thanks!

You successfully diagnosed your own problem! Your cable box is defective. I've had the same problem before and the cable box was the culprit. Call Adelphia's customer service and have them switch out the box immediately.

Call Adelphia, you box might have SH*& the bed! Happened to me before!
