no, no dont spend it on the baby, unless you really really have to.
Save the money and once you have had the baby and you have a down day shop till you drop girl !! this will benefit the baby cause mummy will come home happy and refreshed.
You probably won't enjoy shopping when you feel like the size of a small bungalow and your feet ache and you have only crossed the car park !!!! Trust me...
Good luck

You can go to motherhood maternity for pants. You should be able to wear bigger not maternity shirts though.
I mean if you can afford to look good for your birthday go for it.
As long as you have everything you need for baby.
No you won't know wha tsize you'll be after the baby. I was a size five before too and gained 30 lbs and after having the baby I only lost like 10 lbs and am a size 10 now! My hips and butt just exploded I swear. YOu may loose more or less or all of it or none of it. It depends on your body and where all the extra weight is going. Hips and butt probably wont loose much. Only belly maybe most of it.
Its hard to tell.

I would wait until after the baby is born. One of the reasons is that you may still be a size five but you will never been the same "shape" you were before you were pregnant. Your body has gone through major changes in your hips and buttocks and you may find that what used to look good on you or fit just right no longer does so. Before my first pregnancy I wore as size 3 in Juniors...After my first pregnancy (even though it was terminated during the 22nd week my body had already began "shifting") I could no longer fit into a size 3 in the jr.s department...I had to go to the "Missy" department. Just before I got pregnant for my daughter I wore a size 5 in "missy" After 44 weeks of pregnancy and getting back into "shape" my size 5 "missies" became size 8s because my hips had spread. Yeah I could still wear the same sized dresses and skirts as long as they weren't snug fitting but I could no longer get back into the size 5 jeans....

Buying clothes for yourself now can be pretty depressing for you afterward. For instance: if you don't lose all your pregnancy weight in say the first month, you could get depressed and eat more which makes it harder to lose the weight. Maybe something for yourself that you don't have to wear, or something like shoes or purses since they don't have a size affected by your weight? I always asked for books or cd's onthe birthday before my baby was due because I knew I would have a lot of down time with bottle feeding or breastfeeding and a sleeping baby and recovery time, so I got these things to keep my mind busy while my body was busy with the baby! Hope this helps!!!

Im not sure if this will help but i just went shopping myself for some clothes to accomidate my belly and to my surprise one of my fave place to buy clothes has all babydoll dresses and lots of tops that are in style yet are lose around the belly :)(they are gathered just under the chest then bell out over the belly and hips area and are long in length) With a pair of leggings underneath, its hard to tell! the shop is 'supre' depending on where you live though this may may not be accessable to you, however the website is www.supre.com.au you can shop on line :) with colour charts and sizes from im sure you will find stylish clothes you will love without breaking the bank so there will still be plenty of $ left over for the little one :) i just bought a red dress for $15.00aus, there are so many colours and styles too- i dont work there , just a very happy customer :) check it out, i hope it helps...

You can always save the money..... until after.
Or you can buy clothes and use them to set a goal for yourself like I did, while also keeping the reciepts.
Also there are maternity clothes like LIZ LANGE at Target that are super cute (I am fashion forward with picky taste) and cheap. They are really good looking and I don't ever shop there for clothes. They can double as after maternity clothes, they just have a higher belly band that you'll have to wear a thick or loose shirt over to hide.

I would say wait until after the baby is here and a couple months after still. I went right back into my clothes, at first, after a month I needed a new size.

I want to do the same thing!!! But, I'm not sure what size I'll be after I have this baby. So, I'm gonna wait until I recover and go shopping!! Why don't you get your hair and nails done? Buy a purse, shoes, sexy underware! That's always fun too!

Don't order maternity clothes on line. Make sure you go to a store so you can try them on. Every woman will have a different shape when pregnant, so you won't know what is comfortable unless you try them on. You still have over 2 months to go, I would by a few things.

I think you should go to one of the maternity stores such as Motherhood or Pea in the Pod and talk to the sales girls- I'm sure they can help you out figure out what size will fit you. If it will make you feel good, why not buy something nice?
