I understand that it is the owner that makes the dog. I happen to own two very sweet dogs (pit bull and boxer) and one very aggressive one (chihuahua.) I have owned a sweet but temperamental doberman, as well as a rottweiler, a very sweet brittany mutt, a temperamental chihuahua, two wonderfully sweet great danes, and a temperamental poodle who was a bit on the aggressive side. My aunt had two chows that disliked children and my other aunt owns two shi-tzus - one sweet and one quite vicious. So I know it's the owner that makes the dog. Just rate which one is most likely to put a hole in the vet's finger.

I don't have enough room in feedback for all of this so...Let's just say that atts.org is my source for my information. They test different breeds of dogs and rate them. All their information is on their site.

sorry i dont feel like putting them in order but chihuahua would be at my top. most little dogs are aggressive. usually a terrier of some sort is the worst. most people who work with animals all the time would tell you they get bit by the little dogs much more than any of the big dogs and so called "aggressive" breeds.

None of these are classically aggressive like a Chow, Shar Pei, or Dalmation... but I'll give you a vet's opinion of the ones you list.
1. Blue Heeler
2. Great Dane
3. German Shepherd
4. Chihuahua
5. Pit Bull
6. Maltese
7. Boxer
8. Greyhound
9. Lab
10. Golden Retreiver
But like I said, only the top 3 have much of an aggression tendency... and in those it may be only certain individuals, not necessarily a trait of those breeds.

I hate to generalize a breed as aggressive. I honestly think it is to do with the owner, training, exercise and socialization... But its an interesting question so I'll give in.

1: Chihauhau
2. Maltese
3. Labs
4. German Shepard
5. Pits (though this isn't a breed)
6. Boxer
7. Golden
8. Heeler
9. Greyhound
10. Dane

Breeds I actually avoid are wolf-hybrid, Shiba-Inu, dalmation, collies and Great Pyreness (spelling). Of the breeds listed the onlyone one I've never heard of or seen or imagined a problem with is the Great Dane.

Here's a look at the various dog breeds that are considered potentially aggressive.

Chow Chows are one-person dogs that tend to bite without any warning.
Old English Sheepdogs are very protective of their owners so they might be aggressive if anybody tends to be too close to its owners.
A Llasa Apso often gets cranky when around kids.
Rottweilers are extremely protective of their masters.
Chihuahuas aren't too fond of kids. They'd rather be with adults than play around with tots.
Toy Poodles bite people and other animals out of self defense. Unfortunately, 'playing' according to you may be perceived as a form of 'attack' to them.
Dachsunds aren't known for their patience.
Giant Schnauzers are very dominant. They often challenge adults.
The Pekinese isn't all that tolerant.
Miniature Pinschers usually have aggression issues because they've got this "big dog-little body" mindset going on.
Here's a rundown of breeds that are typically gentle but can't shake off their "bad dog" image.

Boxers are pretty good with kids.
Bulldogs are very playful and gentle.
Great Danes, while considerable in size, happen to be kind and affectionate.
Mastiffs are especially quiet and docile.
German Shepherds are great with kids too.
Rottweilers are also capable of tenderness and affection.
Most pit bulls aren't really aggressive. They tend to be loving, gentle and playful. But there are some that have been raised and trained to be highly aggressive. Such pit bulls tend to be more aggressive toward other animals than people. Aggressive pit bulls often have a history of being abused or neglected. Pit bulls that have been mistreated are seen as being extremely dangerous.

The Chihuahua, Maltese and Cattle Dog are the only dogs on this least except for a Boxer or two that I would find most likely to be aggressive, sorry I cannot categorize the others.

I'm not going to list all the breeds but I truly believe that any dog can be agressive. People have to look at the way a dog is raised. It's the same as people, if you keep provoking and tormenting then a person will snap and do whatever. A dog is the same way. I honestly believe that even if you got a puppy that was thought of as the most agressive and you raised it right then it would be a harmless and loyal dog.
