I'm 17 btw. I just want to know because they have about $150 just sitting there for me. =) According to the form they sent me.

why????? Thats all you will get at the most. Not really worth it (and the IRS doesn't care about this small amount either)

You don't have to file, but you should so you can get your $150 withholding back. Just make sure you don't take a personal exemption for yourself since you parents are probably claiming you as a dependent. The IRS has a free file online program, check it out:

Of course you can. You dont' HAVE to, but you can. You should get that money back. $150 might not seem like much to some people... but at 17 it seemed like a lot to me!!

Yes! But MAKE SURE you do not claim yourself as an exemption!

It's $150 if you can figure out a 1040EZ yourself. You're smart, you should be able to do it.
