I dated a girl long distance for around 6 months, and then she moved to where I am, and we've been together for like 5 years.

I think the answer to your question is trust. If you have that long distance is no problem.
I had one before.turned inot getting married 2 years later :)
My husband is away from me for more than 6 month every tow years. but i trust him and he trusts me.

Only if both of you have a strong bond and are very loyal to each other; otherwise, you can forget it. If this is true love, why not get married and be together?
