cheaper straighteners will do the trick but seriously the more you invest in a straightener, the less damaging they are to your hair.. cheaper straighteners are not really 100% ceramic plates, and the heat does not distribute evenly on the plates, causing some parts to be hotter than others, and damaging your hair.. it is also NOT a good idea to straighten your hair from wet to dry no matter what that product says.. this BURNS your hair 10x faster! believe me, i did that back a few years ago and after a couple of months my hair was SUPER damaged.. i just got the CHI flat iron and i absolutely LOVE it! they are expensive but they are worth it! they usually retail for about 2 to 3 hundred bucks but you can get them on ebay for a LOT cheaper! just make sure, if you do buy one on e bay, that you are purchasing an authentic chi flat iron, and not a generic iron + a chi product, which is what a lot of vendors on ebay do to trick you into thinking youre buying a chi iron.. hope this helps sweetie!

Be verrrrrrry careful with wet to dry flat irons, you shouldnt use them when ur hair is wet, it could break it off. And the best flat iron you could get would be any flat iron that is ceramic, ionic, and tourmaline, all of that protects your hair from getting burned, and its humididty resistant, and makes your hair nice and shiny, its what I use, i love it.

for one, when you use a blow dryer on wet hair, it is perfectly fine, but when you use a straightener on wet hair, it damages it......the best advise i can give you is buy a chi, they are expensive in stores, but they are soooooooo worth it (plus if you go on ebay, you can get them for way cheaper, just make sure its the right brand of chi by farouk)
