Direct eye contact, a nice smile and possibly a light touch (nothing sexual) would be the best approach

The point of flirting is generally to be a bit obvious.

Generally speaking, you make fun out of him mildly. That's what other girls do anyway. Making fun out of a guy is also a great way to see whether he is a nice guy or a jerk/control freak.
