Parents say they know everything and that's right, well a little because this is a new time and they have things to learn. Everything else they know because they been though it before, they not trying to stop you from having fun, they just don't want you to make the same mistakes they made when they were young. Look! They are helping you. I was the same way before and know I know.

Your parents are older, have had more experiences and have gained maturity. All things that you will gain, too. This is why we call it "Growing up."
Someday, your children will feel the same way about you, too.
Hun, really, they just want what is best for you. Be thankful that they care. There are many out there whose parent don't.

Perhaps they do. Did it ever occur to you that they were once young themselves?
When I was a teen,I was "Mr.Know-it-all",or so I thought. Before I graduated,my dad took me downtown to a t-shirt shop that made custom slogans and he had one made for me. It said,"Please hire all teenagers while they still know everything".You may not beleive it right now,but a parent DOES look out for their kid(s).
It's going to take a few years for you to see it.

Teenagers, hurry up and get out on your own why you still know everything. That was a favorite joke of my parents while I was growing up:)
Age buys wisdom, I think that is their theory.
