I have a cookie recipe that uses jam to flavor the dough. I tried using grapefruit(!) marmalade recently but the flavor didn't really come through. What spices would highlight the grapefruit? Ginger? Anise? Something else?

cinnamon
ground, or even better, crystalized ginger
anise would also be nice, but personally the other two appeal to me more.
if you can find it, candied grapefruit peel would help bring out the flavor, too.

I'd use the same kind of spices that you use in jam cake...like cinnamon, ginger and allspice.
