My little sister is doing a project about plants and she chose venus fly traps. She was wondering if venus fly traps also catch bees.

They could, but most bees aren't attracted to them, so the chances of it happening are slim.

Flies are attracted to what we normally consider bad smells. Dog poo, garbage, these type of things. Venus fly traps emit a smell that is attractive to flies, thus the fact that they trap flies.

Bees are most commonly attracted to flowers based on the pattern & colors. The center of the flower is a "bullseye" for the bee to target on. As the venus fly trap doesn't have these, there is not a large likelihood that the bee would land on it, in order to be trapped.

Flytraps will close on whatever touches several hairs in a row. Some have big enough traps to capture small frogs, so I wouldn't think bees would be a problem for them.

under such circumstances yes

wikipedia says so because I'm a person who just listens all by himself

Venus Flytrap (Dionaea muscipula) is a carnivorous plant that catches and digests animal prey (mostly insects and arachnids). The trapping structure is formed by the terminal portion of each of the plant's leaves.

They catch anything that comes near it. They can eat anything that is meat or has blood. Just don't give it potato chips or else it will die. Also make sure to give it some water.
