At many schools they will send out invitations to meet some of the other people for a get together either in your town or in the town where the college is. This usually happens later in the year, though, after the April admissions letters are sent out.
Probably you could call the admissions office at the school and ask them if they have plans to do anything like that. THey will be happy to tell you.
