I think it is a wonderful opportunity to see new places if you're a single person with no kids. And there's a big difference between being a flight attendant for a commercial airline and a charter airline. You'll likely move up the seniority list faster at a charter airline.
Be aware that there is a HUGE amount of responsibility tied to this position. A flight attendant must keep order on the aircraft, must help people exit the aircraft in an emergency, etc. It is SO much more than serving soda and peanuts!

Well i think it's great for people. It a little tuff but trust me it will pay off. I think being a flight attendant is great because your the center attention. People look up to u and the expect the best from the crew. Also being a flight attendant is great because u meet new people and you meet new places and the meomorys of being a flight attendant will last a life time.

flight attendant is a pretty good job but you will not be paid for like the first 5 weeks of training.

It's a job I certainly would not want!!! Flight Attendants often must be at least bi-lingual. They must have training in CPR and First Aid (including infant CPR). They must maintain a certain weight to perform their job. On top of that, these days they have to be able to spot possible signs of terrorism, drug trafficking, prostitution, child abuse, etc. They actually can have a pretty tough job.

I don't think so. To tired, too many time away from home and the best routes are for the senior crews, a new crew never flight to Europe or to an exotic country.

I think there are tremendous advantages--free travel, etc. I think there would be some disadvantages--away from home a lot.
