I suggest joining a community choir or church choir. I'm almost a proffesional singer, and I've been in choirs for a long time. I also started taking voice lessons (which have improved my posture and breathing when I sing). You can also try singing all of the time. Practice makes semi-perfect. =]

My mom is pretty good at singing so she gave me some tips. She told me that if anybody wants to get better at sing they should take voice lessons. It will probably help. What the person above said. You could also try doing some cords.

take singing lessons and record them on audio tape or mp3 (or any other means) and really listen to what you're hearing. Listen for moments of pitch problems as well as unstable sound as well as moments of good pitch and good sound. Try to remember what it felt like when you had those moments and ask your teacher to help you re-create those sounds. If your teacher is worth his/her going rate, he/she will know how to help you. Also, come to your lessons as relaxed and well rested as possible. Any tension in your body can adversly affect your voice.

You will eventually need a teacher to give you voice lessons, however there are tools that you can purchase that can help you learn on your own.
Check out this link: http://www.singingsuccess.com/
and also google "learn to sing"

I suggest taking some voice lessons you might want to try your local parks and rec office for more affordable options.

Find out if you're good enough to waste a lot of time and if this is what you really want.
