In America (USA specifically) the term "Latino" is used very loosely and It generally refers to a person of Latin American descent regardless of race, nationality or ethnic heritage. Technically though, a Latino should have at least some connection to the original European "Latin" ethnic group whereas "Hispanics" can be of any race, as long as they come from a Spanish speaking background. I find it interesting that most Italian Americans have forgotten that they too are of Latin descent and they now lump themselves in (or are lumped in) with the more mainstream white Anglo-Saxon Americans.

Racism in Latin America is "rampent"? Why do you say it? Do you really research or you say it just to say? Oh... maybe KKK was in Latin America, the segregation, the ghettos... who knows?

Is not rampant. But being Hispanic is an ethnicity not a race. So they might encounter a bit of prejudice from their Hispanic counterparts.

I'm mexican and my country have a lot of racial diversity, including black people.
