He wants to include the large helmet the players run out of but I looked into it and it is about $5,000 and up. Let me know if you have any ideas.

Oh come on people. We are always saying that couples should get to do what they want for their weddings, why should this be any different.
Lets see, eagles theme. (I'll warn you I'm a Jets fan, but I am going to try to quell my Eagles suck mentality!)
There colors are green and silver. So thats easy enough, the girls can wear green dresses and the guys can wear silver ties and vests. You can carry white flowers with greenery in them and ties them off with silver ribbons.
For favors you could get football shaped cookies and use green icing. Tie them up in silver netting with green ribbons. Or if you do bells, you can do the Liberty Bells for the cheerleaders (if you dont know, the eagles cheerleaders are officially called the liberty bells, I hate that I know that)
Instead of the football helmet, which is expensive, how about a giant arch around the door where people enter made with green and silver balloons.
As you leave the ceremony instead of bubbles or rice have little green pompoms for everyone to shake. And they can shake these as you are introduced as well. Also, I am not sure if they have one, but enter to the eagles fight song or the E-A-G-L-E-S cheer.
For fun, you could have a green drink, like a champagne fountain, but instead of champagne have it do green punch (you could even spike it)

You could probably get the logo blown up at Office Depot and put together in sections with tape on huge white paper. I wouldn't spend $5000 on just that. Rather budget yourself and figure out how you could make these things on your own. If he must have the helmet, trace it on large tracing paper with an overhead projector and run through that. Get some friends to help you with that project.
Another idea is to get the groom cake made with the Eagles logo on top. You could maybe also get little petitfores done in the shape of the Eagles logo.
Depending on how fancy you want to go you could make table labels for where you want certain people to sit in the shape of footballs with their names on them.
There are so many more things you could use for the theme. It's your wedding and budget, have fun with it!

Good day, What is your theme? If your going over the top, consider costume shops, getting the outfits custom made, its all about your theme. Are you trying to decide what style of wedding, formal, cocktail,western, home style...that you want.? If that's the case, decide the style, then go from there, flowers, food, music etc.....Happy planning

I suggest that you have an Eagles themed party to get it out of your system and then begin to plan you wedding.
The wedding is a precious sacrament not a bloody circus. I can't think of anything tackier to be honest.

instead make a giant poster of the helmet and then run through that instead, like they do at high school games, it will still have the same effect and cost you way less!! oh, please dont go too over board with the theme and still let it be a wedding and not a football party for those who dont like football that much. congrats!

The Eagles (like any football team) are composed of smelly, sweaty, aggressive men. They win sometimes, they lose sometimes, and they change out players whenever they aren't performing well. Players whine for better pay, coaches shout and holler, and they are all constantly selling out to merchandisers who want to use their image on their cereal, juice, and boxers.
And you want them to symbolize your marriage?
It is your WEDDING, not PROM. Why on earth do you need a theme?
