One neat thing you can do is take pieces of material and roll your hair around them and then sleep on it. it is nice looking afterward and MUCH more comfortable than sleeping with those rollers.
You take the material and roll the hair around it then tie the cloth in a knot.

What I do is I put my hair in like plaits or braids and like put it in a bun for the night then the next morning when i wake up I take it down and it's really cute and wavy.I don't know if thats the look you're going for but it's cute. For curls you she buy some rollers if you don't already have them and roll your hair as soon as you finish washing it and it's still wet. Then sit under the hair dryer until it dries and take the rollers out, it will be curly. Then there's always mousse!

My answer might not work, but its REALLY worth a try! Since my hair is naturally curly and i had it straighted, you should wash your hair with Curling shampoo, maybe from Garneir Fructis, and then put Garnier fructis volumizing curling creme or some gel , i think , and finger curl it, or put in some plastic rollers and sit under a hair dryer. If it works on textured hair, it will work on straight hair. Go to garnier fructis website, they have a wide range of products and they work really well.

I have read the following in a lot of magazines: "wrap hair around your finger, push it down onto your head, and then pin it with a bobby pin." I have never tried that but I remember my mom did it with my ponytail to curl it when I was little and it always worked. lol. That was like....15 years ago at least though lol. You could also try velcro or sponge rollers, the girls in Danity Kane use velcro in their hair. Well, the latin one with dark hair does anyway. And I have used the sponge rollers in my step daughters hair and they work well. And of course there is always the possibility of purchasing hot rollers which will work the best.

Buy sponge or velcro rollers (sponge for tight curls, velcro for loose curls) wash your hair and apply light hold get and put it in curlers while its still wet, let it dry for a few hours or run a hair dryer over it for 20-30 mins and VOLLIA ! Your straight hair will have plenty of curls.

for straight hair- use a mousse or scrunching gel. they will curl your hair. use the mousse or gel right after you wash your hair. when you get out of the shower dry off really quickly and then immediately use the gel or mousse. flip your head over and take a handful and start to work it in. push your hair toward your head, don't just run the gel or mousse through your hair.
recommended products- bed head's "kinky" mousse or Pantene Pro V's curling creme

buy some "strong hold gel" and a defuser. The defuser is sold by the hair drayers. Put gel in your hands scrunch hair. And attach defuser on dryer, flip your hair over and scrunch your hair with the defuser. the defuser should come with directions. This is what i do. Hope this helps.
