Would you risk you health to save you relationship if you loved the guy more than anything in the world?

absolutely not...I don't care how much I love that person, my health is much more important than some man. and besides, if the relationship was in trouble and I got sick, there is nothing that would keep it from ending. it would still end anyway. so if my relationship ended all i'd have to say is "bye"

men and women do this all the time. Typically not with other men and women but with children. We often will sacrifice going to the doctor, or seeing a specialist because it costs too much and the money would be better spent on the children.

Certainly is silly in the long run, but we do it.

And, many times someone has self-diagnosed cancer and delayed treatment simply to be able to buy life insurance so that they could provide for their significant other after their impending death.
