Has anyone eaten at a good Chinese buffet around Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg? I know there really aren't any right near there, but I live in the general vicinity, so anywhere within about a 10 mile radius of there would be close enough. We ate at one, but I don't remember what it was called or where it was, and it wasn't very good, the food was just mediocre and the place wasn't very clean.

So! Please answer if you've been to a Chinese buffet in this area that had good food and was clean! Thanks!

I tried Mongolian China Buffet, address: 154 McHenry Rd Buffalo Grove, IL 60089, and it was great, you can pick out your own raw ingredients, and then hand them to a guy who cooks them for you, and they also have typical Chinese buffet items.

I do plan on trying Sweet Tomatoes sometime, it sounds good.

I've seen the Todai place in the mall...it's called a seafood buffet, so I never thought of it as a Chinese buffet, but I just checked out their menu at their website (http://www.todai.com/) and it seems like it would be tasty.

Does House of Hunan have a buffet?

Thanks to everyone who answered so far!

I'd been to Todai a couple of years ago. I'd call it Japanese seafood, with the emphasis on seafood, salads, and sushi. But they do have a good assortment of hot entrees, if crab legs and raw eel is not your thing. It's pricey, though, since you'll be paying for those crab legs anyway.

I think House of Hunan has a lunch buffet, as well as lunch specials. Is that the one near the Secretary of State's office?

Similar in size to Todai but in Niles (Golf Mill area) is a place called World Buffet. Chinese, Japanese, and Korean entrees. Not quite as squeaky clean as Todai but pretty popular. Been there a few times, but not in the last three years.

Try House of Hunan. They're on Golf, in the same strip mall that the old Tower Records (now closed) is in - across from the Hummer dealership.

1233 E Golf Road
Schaumburg, IL
