Do you deny that someone can possibly know they know the truth ('It's just belief, not knowledge,") while at the same time claiming to know the truth? and You say you don't believe in objective morals, but....come on, admit it, you think God did some screwed up things, don't you?

So thinking for yourself' means adopting an atheist viewpoint only?? Puhleeze!
When you say "I don't know" you are being brave and honest. When a theist says "I don't know" they are being dishonest and are trying to dodge the question.
Your only knowledge of The Bible comes from searching 'bible contradictions' in Google.

You refer to ahteists as fundamental. How do you arrive at such a ridiculous conclusion. We are not a sort of people that can be grouped together so easily. Yes, there is a common ideology in the lack of belief of a god but beyond that we vary in too many ways to state. Commonality is not one of our strong points.

By fundy atheists, I assume you mean strong atheists, those who believe there is no god.

Somehow, I see this as no different from belief in a god. Both are beliefs. The same criteria you apply to them (and I'm a weak atheist, so hold no belief about god existing or not) as to theist religions.

Are some obnoxious, annoying and like to harrass Christians. Yes. Same as some Christians do to atheists.

Science establishes agreed upon levels of certainty about it's assertions, never claiming they are "truth". Philosophy of science says that if no evidence supporting some claim is forthcoming, it is mostreasonable to assume it false. This is also accepted based on certainty, not truth.

By definition an Atheist does not think any god did anything, screwed up or otherwise.. But if we look at te texts of many theistic traditions, those deities are depicted as doing many things that are commonly considered 'wrong".

We don't believe that god ever existed... why would we believe that a being that never existed screwed something up?

We don't claim to know the truth. However we base what we choose to believe on knowledge, logic, and evidence, Not emotional attachment and faith.

First off, how can a fundy atheist "believe" God screwed up anything, if God doesn't exist? Anyway, no part of your line of thought makes any logical sense...

only the human mind can judge on what they deem as screwed up...so in that sense, only we, as humans and as so demonstrated can judge on what is screwed up and what isnt..as defined by society at any given period of time

what does that tell us?

that human behavior is progressive as defined by the morality of that time

edit, you're not very progressive are you, not open to answers huh? why bother coming here at all?

i have self assurance you've stepped ahead an really unusual theory of the fundie view of atheists and atheism. all the fundies i understand have self assurance that each and each man or woman does some sturdy and everyone does some evil. no one is ideal (and no one is totally evil). The chance and promise of heaven and hell not often enter into the incentive for most fundie interest (sturdy deeds or undesirable) both. They educate that the astounding selection making comes no longer from concern or reward, yet from love of god and neighbor. because anybody is really weak, we get the benefits punishment help from God also, a twin of a figure instruments up rewards and punishments to help youthful babies to study a thanks to make sturdy alternatives that we are hoping they're going to proceed to make because they see the right of it even as they are older. relax. Be an atheist. Atheism is an really defenseable position. Please do no longer make up beliefs for others so that you would possibly want to educate them to be stupid.

We don't claim to know the truth. That's you.

There is no god to screw things up.

Perhaps there are fundy atheists, but I'm not and haven't met one.

Hope this helps.

People who have to explain their "sarcasm" to more than one person... are simply not good at sarcasm. Live with it, and learn.
