It sounds like he cares about you but just isnt ready for a steady relationship right now. Respect his feelings and give him some space.
He proubly kissed you on the forehead and gave you a hug to comfort you. He proubly doesnt want there to be hard feelings between the two of you.
Start hanging out with your other friends and doing activities that you like. Some guys when they say that they want you too, means they still like you but want to date other people, so dont let him take advantage of you. Make sure he knows that you wont tolerate it either.
If your really unsure tell him you werent quite sure what he ment by he wants you but doesnt want to be together. good luck.

He doesn't want a girlfriend. Kissing you on the head and hugging you was to ease his guilt and his way to make you not feel so bad about his decision.
There's lots and lots of "fish" in the sea. If you cling, he will run like crazy for sure. There's something about a person clinging that really freaks out the other person and makes them want to get away as far and as fast as they can.
If you act like you don't care, there's more of a chance with him, but don't count on it entirely. It might be later that you might come back together or you both may find that you weren't meant for each other. There's plenty of time in your life to meet and date other people to see who is really for you.

He wants the characteristics of the relationship without the responsibilities and stertype that goes along with it. It sounds like hes experiencing some stress of the relationship and is trying to manage it by discarding those parts causeing stress

You don' t need no freeloading boy toy. Unless you want to use him back that same way, then Bootie calls all the way around. Kinda sluttie to do, but whatever makes you happy.

girl im 19 and in the same situation but we have obviously dated and had sex before. does your boy allow you to see other people? my boy doesnt want me to but if im not his girlfriend i feel i can.
i dont know what it means either!! why do boys do this??
they say they dont want you as a girlfriend but they treat you the same as they did when you were dating!

hes playing with your head while hes kissing it. steer clear. he sounds like hes confused and so hes confusing you. unlike him you know what you want, him, but you cant have him clearly so waste no more time fretting over your now ex boyfriend and find some one else who will repect you enough to not mislead you. good luck
