Okay I have cooked ground turkey breast before, but I do not remember (and yes my memory is failing) it being white when I browned it ? Does this mean my meat is bad?

Since it turkey breast, then it will be white.

Some ground turkey that's sold in stores contains thigh meat in the mixture. The thigh meat makes it a little more brownish when cooking.

No, it is not bad. Ground turkey does not look like ground beef when it is cooked. It will be white when it first cooks then may brown when cooked more or at a higher temperature.

I just cooked ground turkey last night for dinner, and no it was not white, it was brown, looked like ground beef. As for your question whether it was bad or not I don't know, but probably wouldn't risk it, was it out of the right temperature for any period of time?If yes then probably its bad!

It's because it is "white" meat as opposed to "red" meat.
Good for you--it's HALF the fat & calories of beef--and cheaper, too!
