The true essence of ourselves rides in our bodies in the same way we ride in our cars. Some can step outside their bodies in the same way we can step out side our cars.

There have been experiments where people, while astral projecting, view and report events that occur in locations far removed from the location of their bodies.

But then what is real and what is an illusion. We all assume the waking life is real, but perhaps, it´s really our dreams that are real.

There is a scientific explanation now for OBE (out-of-body-experiences). Basically some areas of the brain combine information from several senses and if one of the senses is getting the wrong signal the perception is distorted and can be interpreted by the brain as a separate entity. This explains why accident victims suffering from brain trauma and hikers suffering from lowered body temperatures or lack of sufficient oxygen may report these OBE.

Out of body, yes, but not astral projection.-----the astral body is very misunderstood, and rarely if ever separates from the physical form. Your consciousness, however, is independent of your body and is capable of leaving the body anytime.

The outer body experience... Their is people who say it is the chemicals in the brain causing us to see and feel things. The only really big problem with this theory, is that people who have been blind from birth, have in the first time in their lifes been able to see through outer body experience...

Amen.
