Lying will always catch up with you. If it is a white lie, then fine - no one really is going to benefit from knowing that you think he/she is ugly. The problem with lies is that they usually are done for selfish reasons, and hurt other people's lives. When you lie to a girlfriend/boyfriend about yourself - say you are not good at being faithful, have an STD, and are broke (but you tell them the opposite)- you are pretty much ruining that person's life. That person is committing to you based on what they know about you, and if what they know about you is not true, then everything they've thought they had is a complete lie, the relationship is a fraud, and they wasted years of time and effort on something that wasn't what they wanted in the first place.

They just say it so you stop lying, that would be nice if liars had their days cut short since I cant stand liars and the world we be better without them. I heard a funny one once that was like every lie you make is another brick in way on the road to heaven, nice right?

It's the age old... "you're goin to hell" if you do something wrong, thus cutting your days in eternity and heaven short. It's silly. We all know liars and a$$ hole$ that seem to live forever. Especially politicians.

I haven't heard that before, but it will definitely cut your days short if you lie about the wrong thing to the wrong person & they find out!
