Warts are often a sign of infection by HPV human papiloma virus - which is one of the widest spread viruses there is.
It depends where the warts are as to what may be the best treatment. They can be burnt off using chemical, or freezing with liquid nitrogen - and this can work sometimes permanently sometimes temporarily.
It can be uncomfortable - and again depends just where the wart/s is/are and how sensitive the skin in that area.
HPV is basically incurable - and like the cold sore virus once you have it there is always a chance of warts reappearing elsewhere beacuse it will always be in your system. If you maintain a healthy lifestyle warts are less likely to occur and generally seem to cause little bother unless in a very noticeable or easily irritated place.
(BUT It is important not to leave them if they are present in and around the genital area as they can lead on to more serious problems if untreated - these type of warts may not be relevant to your enquiry naturally)
BUT - using organic handwash and avoiding chemical based body care has definitely will make a difference and skin all round will be less prone to any minor irritations as well as warts that can be aggravated by the cehmicals in typical off-shelf products.

You need to be more specific,,, there are many types of warts/wart viruses, therefore many different remedies.
Lordy, lordy, when I was young and had some unsightly but not terribly disruptive warts, my Father told me, just to lick my finger in the *mornings*, then dab that finger on the offending warts, well, then they would be gone!! Fortunately, being rather young, I did this without question,,, funnily enough, within a short time (somewhere between the time of my dad's suggestion and me looking again circa;a month later, they were gone! really!!)Still, I know,,, there a many types out there, what are we referring to here?
Very often they occur on the feet,,, odious and painful, to say the least, still, there are others, they can accumulate around the eyes, or for that matter, anywhere!!!??? I do know of some local "cures" but I need more details to give you a reasonable answer. Tell me more and I will try my very best to give you a helpful answer.

Take your dog to the vet. Antibiotics wont help since most warts are caused by viruses. If the wart is causing the dog discomfort or could lead to a tumor developing, the vet will probably advise the wart should be removed. The vet may do this with liquid nitrogen which is relatively painless. Once removed, as long as the dog is otherwise healthy, the wound will soon heal. Good luck.

My son was very young at the time,he had warts on both hands very bad, spread everywhere. I heard a old wife's tale, that if you got a garden snail and let it craw all over them with it's slime the slime dry's on the hand and act's as starving barrier the warts die.
So we tried this and he loved doing it, but you have to do this every day and the gods honest truth it worked, every wart died.
I know it doesn't sound very nice but my son enjoyed it.
Hope this works for you.
