I actually have a dream exactly like that ,
I was standing infront of a bag so full of money,
I was shaking thinking what to do, looking
around not seeing anyone,
then I was ready to pick the bag up. .
when suddenly, just suddenly
someone punched me from behind . .
so the owner picked the bag up and leave me crying . . .

What can you do? If there's anything about the bag or the money that's distinguishing, you can try to locate the owner, but the chances of finding them is slim to none. If I could return it, I would. If not, then I see no reason why not to keep it. Unless of course it looks suspect, like whoever lost it might have stolen it, then I'd report it.

I would empty the bag in the street and walk away feeling chuffed that I own a new bag. Is it a nice bag?

I believe in Karma and karmicly I would take the bag to the police and hope that the owner claims it.But if they don't claim it karmicly speaking it would be mine.What goes around comes around in good ways too:)

Keep it, and pay my bills. Whoever lost it must not have needed it since they just dropped it on the street and never cared to get it.

Bring it to the police. If it's not claimed in 30 days, it's yours. Of course, you'll want to take out a few $$ for expenses first... :-)

keep it.. how much is it anyway??
if i know who it was i would return it but i would not trust to turn it in to the police so it can just be unclaimed and used for them when i already pay taxes and am 22 married in college with a baby.
