he proposed on a pier at one of the finger lakes in central ny, sun setting on the horizon, sailboats sailing by in the background. he got on one knee and asked me to marry him, with an antique engagement ring from england. i said yes, and then he bought me a hot fudge sundae and we watched "family guy" in our hotel room.

how could a proposal be better than that? :)

My fiancee proposed in a really nice walking park here where i live. It has alot of tree's a river and all different kind of plants! The park has a bridge that go's over this really large river! Well, he proposed to me on that bridge when the sun was going down, so we had a really nice sunset that evening! It has always been my favorite park to take my dogs jogging with me, and he knew that so he proposed in that park i really like! It was really romantic, that is a memory i will always remember!!!

Well my husband isn't romantic thank goodness I'd end up laughing at him if he was thinking it was a joke. Anyhow we had my daughter at a Heritage Museum had spent the whole day together the 3 of us. We went out to eat and he asked my daughter did she want desert she told him yes. When it came there was a little box on the plate she said "mom i think that box is for you" I opened it and there was a 2 carot princess cut set in platinum ring with baguette's. My mouth dropped and my daughter said "that's a yes" she was 10 at the time.

He told me that he had a conference in NY, so we flew out together and had dinner at Tavern on the Green in Central Park the first night. He proposed right before our dessert came in the beautiful restaurant that was all lit up with Xmas decorations.

He lied about his conference and we spent a great weekend in New York. It was perfect.

My fiance took me to the local park, It was Dec 13th, so they had all their Christmas lights and decorations up. He took me to their gazebo, had me sit down, and said: We have been dating a year and five months, and I want it to be for at least another 65 years, so will you marry me? As he said this, he slipped the ring on my finger. I knew he was going to propose, but it was soooooo sweet. :) It was perfect.

When my cousin's fiance proposed to her, he waited until Christmas day, and had put the box with the ring on it in bigger boxes, so she would have to open/unwrap each box as they got smaller and then when she finally got to the ring box he asked her to marry him.

My husband proposed to me as we were walking to his car. He was in the Navy and was leaving to go back to his duty station. I put some things into the backseat and when I turned around, he was there...on one knee. He had the whole neighborhood out watching...including my parents. It was very sweet and romantic.

several Halloweens ago, my daughter answered the door to a cute little 6 year old Ninja turtle. She was shoving candy into his bag and telling him how cute he looked. The little boy dropped to his knee and said, "Becky, Justin wants to know if you will marry him". She immediately looked to Justin who then dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. The little boy's parents caught it all on tape. What a priceless video we all have.
