Sex didn't become a sin until St. Augustine declared it as such. What is funny is that before he became a bishop, St. Augustine was very into sex. Anyway, he declared it to be sinful and made sure that the wording in the biblical translations fit what was needed. Of course, many Christians tend to try to rewrite history in order to discredit this, but they forget that not all historians were Christian and while much of the books that were considered "sac-religious"were burned during the witch hunts, fortunately there were areas in the world not affected by that.

Yes, the answer is that the desire of your flesh overcomes the desires of your spirit.
God made sex for pleasure, but it was made for married couples, not horny teenagers. lol.
By the by, the media defienetly isn't helping that idea either...god.
I've seen so many lives ruined by the power of sex before marriage. It's more than physical pleasure, when you do it, you give a piece of your heart away, a piece of your trust.
Eventually, you actually get married and either :
A. Have an STD
B. Have no trust in that person due to previous dissapointments
C. Divorce them within half a year, like the celebrities with perfect lives!
D. Have a happy complacent marraige for the rest of your life.

Fornication my friend is not just for christians, it goes for everybody practicing it. Me, I loved sex and I really believed I had to have it, really truly believed this lie. I searched for love through sex, not to mention drugs for many years. I fell in love with that but never got no love. 2 yrs ago I I made a decision to truly start living for God and I stopped having sex. I can't lie and say it was overnight because the one man that I truly love always weakened me. Then I dealt with guilt. I'd rather not deal with guilt anymore, and I don't. I hope and pray I will marry this guy someday because he is an excellent sex partner. Anyway God knows my heart, I'll have to wait and see.

Maybe Catholics and nominal Christians (the ones who say are Christians, but they are not - just fake they are, or they say they are Christians just because they were born at a Christian home, but haven't have a conversion to, and or believe in Christ), but real Christians MOST OF THEM don't have sex until they get married.

Those who truly live the Gospel of Christ as well as they can would not have sex before marriage, others have done so before becoming Christian, and the rest are hypocritical by saying one thing while doing another.

Who ever said that Christians are perfect? Nobody is. The bible is a handbook for life. A guide. You try to be as good and true to yourself and your God as you can. Sometimes you are, sometimes you fail. Jesus has assured everyone's salvation. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't keep trying. Why do you think they call it "practicing" religion? hehe.

If you had actually read the Bible you would know that yes, sex is reserved for the married, but humans make mistakes and Christ died for all sin. That doesn't mean go out and sin, but to turn away from it.

Christian"s" people, the half of you have done ... learn your grammar little girl.
And your statistical evidence is where? Talk about a judgemental hate spew. Grow up and come back when you are able to post an intellegent question. Until then, get back to your primary school ... you need it.

So, what you are saying is that you expect Christians to be perfect? I guess you live your life in perfection and therefore we all must.
Christianity is not for perfect people, that is why they believe Christ died for our sins; if we were pefect it would make unnecessary Christs sacrifices. We all make mistakes, but that doesn't, and need not, take away from what we believe. The Bible is all about forgiving the sinner, which we all are.
I know if I followed all the teachings of Christ my life would be amazing, but I don't. Sucks for me, but for you, why would you even care. You should be concerned about your own issues.

Those who have commited fornication or adultry "will not inherit the earth." I guess if you dont like God and you dont care too much about your future its a good option. But hypocritical to call yourself a christian and do such things. You really arn't christian if you have sex before marriage.
