the last tree I hugged was years ago wheen i almost fell out and grabbed the first branch that I could. then i realized that I could jumpdown and did so. I didn't bother finding out that trees even had genders untill last year.

1988.....It was a giant Magnolia tree that my 3rd great grandparents had planted sometime back in the 1800's. It was huge.... I mean HUGE! I loved it.... I'd never seen a Magnolia or Magnolia tree until that day.

I didn't even think about it's gender. Must've been a female though, 'cause it gave seed to another giant Magnolia tree that was planted in my ancestor's daughter's (my gg granny) front yard.

When's the last time you hugged a human - and did you worry about their gender?

Not so long, in my garden, after a hurricane in Houston, Texas.
The huge tree was twisted and broke. I knew its gender because of its reproductive flowers, but it did not know my gender.
Smile.

About eight months ago, I think. I didn't worry about it's gender, why is that something to worry about?
