Imagine yourself fat, coughing and panting (and stinking of stale fags) and looking a mess. That should get you going in the right direction; Good luck!;

UGh.. I know how you feel. I'm the same way.
The best way to motivate is to figure out something you really enjoy doing and find friends that enjoy that same activity.
Other people tend to be our greatest motivators. We are our own worst enemies and more often than not a workout simply just doesn't sound appealing.
It doesn't have to be conventional weight lifting or the like. Anything that causes you to break a sweat is going to be beneficial. You don't have to kill yourself.
For me, the ultimate exercise is water play. I love being in the water and it works every muscle that meets resistance. For others it may be a frequent jog, or hiking. Really, any activity is better than nothing, but to be realistic, if you're not breaking a sweat then you're likely keeping your heart rate low and you're probably not going to burn anything off.
Just get out and move. That's the first step. But even that can be tough if you have noone to "get out" too.
Again, friends are our best motivators and can coax us into doing the things we really wouldn't have the will power to persue on our own.

Get off your backside and do the hoovering (you know the carpet is dirty!)! Dance around while you dust the shelves! Clean your room (or the car!).
You must know someone who will nag you or make you feel guilty for not doing some exercise!
There are lots of ways to get yourself moving and active and all you need is a gentle kick!
Good luck Bean!

I was 16 stone a few years ago. No easy answer. You have to do a lot of hard work before you see results.. All I can say is I did it and I never thought I would, so just have faith and keep looking at clothes you would really like to wear. It worked for me. Good luck.

Take off your clothes and stand in front of a mirror. Do you like what you see? Make up your mind to change it. Are you popular with the opposite sex? Are you embarrassed to let old friends see how you have let yourself go
Only you can change it.

Put a picture of yourself (naked) somewhere, if that does not work, I am not sure what will.
You could always get an excercise buddy and motivate each other!
